Day 27 - Tribal Council #13

Day 27 - Tribal Council #13

Postby Jeff Probst » Tue Sep 08, 2015 9:01:36 pm

Welcome Eysturoy,

We'll now bring in the members of the jury, Stephannie, Flicka, Cecilia, Cassandra, Liliana and Jessica voted out at the last Tribal Council. The Jury is reminded that they can only post smileys from now on.

Tonight, votes will be due and final at 9:20c/10:20e.

First thing's first, Rocky, you won Individual Immunity, are you keeping it?

So after the last council, Jessica was voted out, yet another big threat in terms of competitions. Rocky is that a factor tonight again, or after winning Immunity are you afraid people will begin looking at you?

Penner, last Council got pretty heated, do you think any of that was a show for the jury?

Nate, what was camp like when you got back. Did you have the chance to talk to Stacy or are you two still at odds?

if people aren't looking at me right now then their heads aren't in the game, cause it's so late up in here. i wont lie, i've won 2 challenges and won half of another, so that's always gonna be a thought going through peoples heads.

just a reminder, i won an immunity by being the only one to submit at the xhallenge, so maybe that can convince you guys that challenge ability isn't always determined by the victories but rather by the overall placings in most challenges.

Candice, there hasn't been a lot of talk about idols since Cassandra left, do you think we'll see one rear it's ugly head as it's the last night to play it?

We did have a chance to talk. I apologized because I felt like I got carried away with it and she apologized because she probably felt like she got carried away with it. I don't think we're best friends or anything, but we're fine.

I don't think people are changing, per se. I just think people are doing what's best for them and that may be different than what others think is best which leads to personality clashes. That's all. None of us really know each other so it's hard to say if someone has changed or not.

Rebecca... if you can spell the word Goat in the next 5 minutes, I will proclaim you the winner of Stranded in Faroe Islands and we can all go home now.

We could, that's for sure. I have no idea if the idol has been found or how hard people were looking for it. The game plan was sort of set around her much of the day. As you can imagine no one shared the clue with me from last night. I would have loved to look for it though icon_razz

A lot of the drama stemmed from Rocky pulling a Carter and accidentally sending a group message to Jessica asking if she was cool with us voting out Jessica. That blew up right before tribal and then we had our first open and frank conversation in tribal council in a good while. I think we'd gotten so expert in blindsiding people that normally everyone went into tribal feeling totally safe.

From my point of view, I think Jessica had become used to having so much control (edit: feeling like she had so much control) both on Mykines and Eysturoy that she had started to become a bit complacent with the social politics of the whole thing. Once you start seeing other players as just a vote that needs to be dictated to rather than worked with, you start making some errors. Jessica kept telling me to my face that she thought I was such a goat that I started to get really frustrated yesterday so I was probably a bit more direct and harsh than I normally would be.

Also I had a few beers watching Ireland beat Georgia icon_chaos

I think I said some things to Nate in the heat of the game that I didn't mean. He was making a good move in the game and I respect it. He and I have spoken about that and we're on better terms now. Like he said, we're not best friends but we don't hate each other.
