The impression I'm getting is that it's too little too late for her to start being seen as a strategic powerhouse... or have I been missing something?

She was the my partner in getting Cass out. She was majorly involved with it.

She may not be a "powerhouse" but she has made some big moves while hiding behind "big players" to take the fall.

I guess it'll depend on what kind of speech she'll give, and who she's up against.
I had said I would never vote for her to win, but now I feel a lot more open in the vote.

Wait so was Stacy like the main factor in my elimination? What did she say my plans were?

Please tell me - this may lead me to vote for her if Candice gets out.

It was a joint effort of everyone thinking your sudden flip was shady lol xd
Plus you were too much of a threat comps wise.

kk Penner is now my second vote unless if he comes out as racist/homophobic/misogynistic/kiwi
I don't have to make a third one now, but I feel like I would have enjoyed a Stacy/You/Rocky tribal council. Do you think that could have happened?

Stacy never talked to me and Rebecca was a more reliable ally (to me) than Rocky was.

Stacy said she was gonna take me; Idk how much truth was in there, but I bet she thought she could beat me since she was so close to Jessica
I think almost anyone was gonna take me to f3?

Everyone would take me over Candice, and Candice would maybe take me over Stacy / Penner

But damn, mad props to Candice for that move, she's certainly winning if she makes it to the end. I think she got Penner to flip?

Nate I just want to clarify this. Actually, I figured I was fucked as you are well aware. My main deal was I'd vote Stacy since I knew Penner felt no connection to her and I thought it would be easy to get Rebecca to do this too if need be.

Penner and I talked a lot about the vote and how could it not be a choice between me and Stacy because I think he worried about me not being able to argue myself out of the situation and I think he was already planning on voting me out within the next 2 rounds anyways. This is not a real shock, you knew I was just trying to get one more round at that point in the game.

But Penner has quite the ego. I hope everybody realizes that by now. It's not overpowering but it does drive him. As Cass stated in one of these threads, he'd come in and pontificate and tell us the deal and it was something we had already discussed, determined and moved past a day before he got to it. But his ego made him tell us about what he had figured out.

So when I started talking about Nate really setting himself up in a great position and Jessica and Stacy both seeing how strong his end-game was going to be, he said maybe I'll just push for Nate with Rebecca and Stacy and see if I can get Rocky on board. NO WAY did I think Rocky would get on board. And I could not talk to Rocky about it. It would not have even made sense for me to approach Rocky with that. I did not have a good enough relationship with him and it would have been so forced feeling.

So I simply encourage Penner by playing to his ego to do it. I started talking to Penner at that point on as if I was already a jury member because hell I knew I was going to be one. So I told him how it would play to the jury if he orchestrated a Nate boot. And I just let him and his ego take over from there. He actively worked against you the rest of the round. I just confirmed it with Stacy. And then when Rebecca came on and said she too wanted a Nate boot and gave her game reasons why, and they lined up with everything I had already talked to Penner about, I knew it was a done deal.

But I did not really orchestrate this. I want you to consider what Penner did and Stacy actually in regard to this.

The only thing I did was really play to Penner at the very end that Rebecca might have prevoted Nate and how could he leave her hanging out to dry like that when he was such a good friend to her and someone she had connected with the whole game. (Rocky would not budge and Penner said we might just have to vote Stacy, which was NOT going to fly with me LOL.) But ultimately Penner said "Fuck it! I can't keep asking permission to vote who I want out. I just have to take the game by the balls.

So I think this is something Rebecca and Stacy and I certainly wanted. But Penner did a lot to try to make sure that vote actually did happen that round.

Oh we do! icon_laughing

It's just when to display it and when not to. Penner can't help but display it. Cass can't help but be an overachiever. CiCi can't help but be so energetic and enthusiastic that if you play to her outright love of all that, including the backstabbing and the lying and the everything supercharged Survivor, its works best. It's all about leaning how to talk to each person in a way that causes them to do what you most need to happen.

Penner took a big lead in this and I want Nate to know because he gave me credit for this. And I did do my part with baiting Penner the right way. (Which I would have tried less on this except Nate was the only one being totally honest with me and saying he thought it should be me instead of Stacy going. No reason at all for me to keep him if the opportunity to take him out becomes available.) But I wanted Penner to get credit where credit is due, as he heads into the FTC. I actually think this is the only move that he is totally geared to "own" at the FTC.

Btw, I never knew if you were legit or not, but when you told me you were gonna tell jury good stuff about me, were you helping your game?
I mean I always felt like you were a bigger duo with Penner tbh

Rebecca I would have told the jury the positive points I saw in your game. You are very personable. You did connect with people despite being hampered by time zone issues. You were very strong with me and Penner, as well as in a good spot on S2.0. You were called a goat primarily for time zone issues and I would have pointed out all the reasons I thought you deserved a vote, just like I've done for Penner, Stacy, and Rocky.

But if I'm being totally truthful as well, I did respond to you in such a way that I hoped would help my game as well. I tried to tailor my speak with each player based on what I thought they needed to hear. So the way I talked and the things I stressed were geared to my perception and label that I put on each of you when trying to get to know you all. My talking about the positive points of your game came at a point when you were being called out and you needed the self confidence boost. I loved giving it to you.

I'm sure you all do similar things as well. Not saying I am unique to that way of thinking and playing.
