Episode 10

Postby Jeff Probst » Wed Sep 02, 2015 9:45:01 pm

With Cecilia blindsided it was the first blindside of the merge, do you feel that the game is different now?

With only 9 people remaining, it's an odd numbered vote, typically the perfect time for an alliance flip. Are you considering flipping on your current alliance, and if not, do you trust that your alliance won't flip on you first?

I'll answer this more fully tomorrow after I sleep. But this backstab was planned far before this vote. Cecilia has been rubbing people the wrong way and making some crazy plots for the past week. Her leaving was simply the solution for this paranoia. I experience it, and now she has. I've learned to keep my worries in my confessional, with my outside self relatively calm.

At this moment I want to take Candice out. I am worried about doing that, but it might just be the best shot to get rid of my biggest competition. However, getting rid of a Svinoy (Rebecca or Lil) definitely has advantages. This might be the vote that sends me home or guarantees an easy race to F4. It really depends on who can be convinced to do what.

This is a really confusing point for me. Remaining are 3 Svinoy vs. 6 Mykines. It should be easy to assume we can just knock them out one-by-one right? Well...that's where things get complicated. It's obvious to me that one Svinoy has the idol and I'm not sure which. I'll assume Lil, but it doesn't really matter. The original plan of this round was to target two Svinoys and give each one 3 votes, ensuring we get at least a tie, if not a 3-way. The problem is that we are the final 9 and there are still major threats left in this game before anyone can make it to the end.

Two of these threats are Candice and Cassandra. I want Candice to be out because I feel she would lead to Cass trusting me and Nate following as well. The problem with this plan, though, is the fallout with Penner. If Penner switches to Svinoy it becomes a 4-4 vote next time. And if Cass decides we've betrayed her and wants to be on the majority, it'll be 5-3. That's why people have brought up taking out Cassandra.

Now look, I trust Cassandra so much in this game...but there's where the problem lies. Everyone trusts her! Stacy does, Nate does, Candice does, Penner does, etc. If she makes it to the finals she has won. She manages to make herself look good to everyone, she makes alliances with everyone, right now I bet she is planning to take me out! Without her this game will become a lot less friendly and much more clearly defined. Nate/Stacy/myself would be a trio. Candice and Penner would be a duo, but they could side with us. Rocky/Rebecca/Lil another trio. It's important that we take out the threats now and figure out how to survive until the end. We can get votes for Cass. We can convince people this is the time. Svinoy will gladly help out, seeing this as another round to advance. That could make 6 possible votes, a majority and a farewell to Cass.

Things could backfire though. Nate could rat me out to Cass, she could rally people against me, I could be blindsided. I need to win tonight. If I do, Cass could leave! If I do win and Stacy leaves, I can still work that to my advantage. I just need to keep myself safe in the event everything fails. Worst case scenario is Cass wins and we target a Svinoy, only for them to use the idol and get me out.

Here's the current state of affairs.

Stacy, myself, Nate, Candice, and Penner have teamed up to take down Cassandra. She has such great control over us that no one wanted to take a shot at her. We realize she is the biggest threat to any of our games. Tonight should be a total blindside. I'm worried that telling Rocky might have jeopardized the plan, because if word gets to Cass she could try to use a necklace or something. It's a huge fear of mine that we can't get rid of her, she finds out, and manages to switch things back onto us.

Once Cass is gone anything goes. I would hope the 5 of us stick together until the final 5, but it's unrealistic to think they wouldn't want to flip the tides on us. At this point the future isn't important. It's the final stretch. We take out Cass tonight, we regroup and figure things out for later. All that matters is we keep it a secret and we keep the immunity away from her.

God, it's amazing how cool this could be. However, Stacy was the main creator of this plan so I do have to worried about how this whole situation goes, because this could be the winning move for her if she makes it to the end. We'll see though ;)

PLEASE DON'T LET MY GAME END! FUCK FUCK FUCK!

I have confidence in this vote, but even if for some reason I am blindsided...at least I know Cass will be joining me in Jury sooner or later.

If I leave I want Stacy, Nate, or Rocky to get to the end. They are all amazing players with plenty of skill.
