Here are the highlights.
As I've said in the last few posts, Cass is in charge and setting herself up nicely as the HBIC. I really love watching it. I'm a big fan of character study and my favorite thing Jeff Probst said (the RL one) long ago is that when you play Survivor you can only fake it for a while, then your true personality WILL come out. Such is the case with the person playing Cass. This person cannot help themselves. They have to know they are being too aggressive. They have to know they are putting a target on their back. I know she knows because I've told her such. But she 100% cannot help herself.
I've been struggling with Cass for the last 2 rounds because I can tell at some point her agenda will not be in sync with mine. But I still love playing with her. And at this point, although I've steadily been telling everybody that Jessica is not the one calling the shots and that Cass is, I would still enjoy the ride with Cass. Everybody has her number. She will get targeted way before she needed to get targeted simple because she cannot hold back.
It's that whole thing of playing good enough to be in the running but not so good that you become the head target. It's a very fine line and most people fail. I typically fail because I am not aggressive enough. Others regularly fail because they are too aggressive.
So I get up and there are two plots hatched overnight. Cass has this big let's split the vote because Rocky has gotten 3 idol clues. She wants to put 3 votes on Lil and 3 votes on Rocky and she assumes that Rocky/Rebecca/Lil will be pushing for Jessica, so that 's 3 votes on Jessica.
Then in a revote, those 3 can't participate and we just pile the votes on Lil and she is gone. Ummmm, I do not want Lil gone and this is one I'm willing to voice my opinion on.
Then Stacy says we need to go for Cass. She says Cass is set on me and Jess having to go. Maybe this is true. Maybe it is not. But she has talked to Jessica and told Jessica that Cass wants her gone and wants me gone and Stacy and I have a "watch your back" thing so she feels compelled to tell me. Again, most of it is possibly true. Some of it might be exaggerated. But they have put in motion a let's get Cass out.
Then on the other side of the island, me and Penner have formed this alliance with the S2.0 because of Rocky sharing the idol clue. And we are talking about Cass going as well. Even though we don't know on the other side of the island Stacy/Jessica and Nate are also talking about it. But there is idol fear about Cass so they want to switch the vote to Stacy. Ummm, no I do not want to do that either. STacy has just told me all this info (some of which reeks of bullshit) but still.
So I have to then try to steer them back to Cass (but trust me, this is hard for me. I think like a host not a player so much ... plus I get way too invested for my own good with characters) and it makes me want to puke but I don't really want to target Stacy over Cass.
So as of right now, Cass is very likely getting tons of votes. It still could be Stacy. Or if immunity comes into play, I have no real clue. Lil could still get votes.
That's all I got right now. But if my game plan is to be able to be the UTR queen with just the right connections to make me someone every player needs. The whole I'm a number not a number 1 than I said the HBIC's all had to go.
We will see what happens over the course of the next hour or so.
