Episode 1: "I Don't Care About Your Lives And Weekends"
The game started out with 2 tribes of 10. Mykines consisted of 10 players from Survivor: Fiji (Cassandra, Stacy, Jessica, Liliana, Rita, Anthony, Yau Man, Mookie, Rocky, Papa Smurf). Svinoy consisted of 10 players from Survivor: Cook Islands (Stephannie, Flicka, Cecilia, Rebecca, Candice, Penner, Nate, Ozzy, JP, Adam).
The first twist of the game was revealed: There was a immunity idol up for grabs, and anyone who posted first in the thread would get it. However if you do ultimately decide to get it, everyone will know you will have it. It is a public immunity idol. Yau Man was the one to post in the thread, and he received the public immunity idol. It was also revealed that a hidden immunity idol is present in the game, but instead of having one for each tribe, this season there was only one for everyone.
At Mykines, a solid trio was formed between Cassandra/Liliana/Jessica who decided to name themselves "The Goddesses". They also decided to rope in Stacy & Anthony to create a solid 5 person alliance, but "The Goddesses" confirmed to each other that they are the core 3. However, unbeknownst to her alliance, Cassandra decided to form a secret final 2 deal between herself and Rocky. She wanted to use Rocky as a 6th vote for the alliance, and believed that Rocky would be someone that she could easily beat at the end of the game. The Goddesses wanted to get Yau Man to flush his idol, as they viewed him as shady. Because Jessica already had a F2 deal with Yau Man before the Goddesses was formed (she told them about the F2 deal), they came up with the idea to have Jessica tell Yau Man that he was in danger so he would play the Idol, and instead they would all vote off someone else. They told Stacy & Anthony about this plan. Ultimately they wanted to vote off one of the tribe's less active members in Mookie/Rita. But after Mookie started becoming more active it look liked the target began to go on Rita's back.
At Svinoy, a core 4 was formed between Penner/Cecilia/Candice/Stephannie. However Cecilia was wary of Penner because she viewed him as the other smart person of the tribe besides herself and she viewed him as competition. Cecilia told Stephannie about potentially getting out Penner later down the line as they were close, but opted not to tell Candice about this as she noticed her and Penner are tight. However, Penner noticed Cecilia acting weird around him and Penner viewed her as arrogant and egocentric. Cecilia also formed tight bonds with JP and Adam, and opted to keep them tight to her as 2 extra votes for her alliance, and also 2 extra votes in her potential plan to take out Penner later in the game. The first targets became Nate/Ozzy for not being as active as everyone else.
At the Immunity Challenge, Mykines ultimately defeated Svinoy. Another twist was revealed at the end of the challenge: right before every pre-merge tribal council, the tribe who lost would compete in a "Tribal Individual Immunity Challenge". The winner will remain anonymous. If you win the necklace, you can either use it at that tribal council or risk keeping it and play it at any other tribal council you want to. You are allowed to pass it to someone else, and if you have one of these necklaces in your possession than you are ineligible to compete in any of the Tribal Individual Immunity Challenges your tribe competes in. Even though Tribal Council wasn't until the next night, Probst decided the Svinoy tribe would play the challenge that night just to get comfortable with things.
Ultimately, It was JP who won the individual immunity necklace. Even though he tried to hide it, people began to sniff him out as the one who won it. After what seemed like a tough vote between Nate/Ozzy, the target went on Nate for going completely inactive after the first day. However, hours before Tribal Council, Nate was replaced with a new ID. This confused the Svinoy tribe, as they didn't understand why the hosts would replace Nate when they were just about to vote him off anyway.
However, all was revealed in a special announcement, when Probst revealed that Ozzy opted to quit the game as he was having real world troubles and needed to "sort his life out". But then another curveball was thrown at the contestants when it was revealed that Rita of Mykines had quit as well as her school schedule was too hectic and she would not be able to be active in the game. With 2 quits, and 18 people left, the contestants began to question the state of the game.
