I'm going to take the stance that it was wayyyyyyy easier if you started from the end and worked backwards.

Yeah that's what I did too but then I thought can I even post my progress. I did not even "start". I just went to the end and worked from there.

It was, I got about half way through it before I even had a fork in the road to choose from.
