Cecilia I don't think I ever told you, but that goat thing? It was an act (and stupididly so, because you probably told Jessica, Stacy and Nate all about it)

I was scheming with Nate, Candice, Penner, Liliana, Cassandra, Stephannie and Flicka all because I was smart enough to make those ties early on

But I feel like my inactivity is just too toll taking. The jury can't see me gaming in PMs, and I made so little tribals, you guys can't go by anything from me. It was a tough spot to be in tbh

I'd probably vote for Candice, as she consistenly allied herself at the right times, and despite being a target managed to get so far.

How I feel about the F4:

Candice struck me as someone following the big players (Cassandra) with very little game savvy. Turns out she is very socially adept and uses that to her advantage. She is definitely an amazing player and she has made some big moves on everyone here. While she definitely has plenty of reason to win this season, I don't necessarily respect her strategy of being in the shadows/puppet-mastering. It's just not the strategy I prefer, obviously. Of the Survivor zoology she is the Fox: Sneaky, cunning and the player to beat.

Penner, no matter what he says, in my experience was mostly inactive. He definitely revved up his game F8, but from the merge until then he was on and off with barely ever competing or messaging. He has a good social game, managing to be friendly with nearly everyone and creating some solid bonds. He hasn't played an amazing game, but it sure was stronger in terms of alliances and trust. Of the archetypal 4 animals for Survivor, he would be the Bunny: Social, but not threatening and most likely not the winner of the F3.

Rocky just sort of falls flat. I'm not entirely sure what he's done so far in this game to warrant being in the F4 besides simply not being a threat and just generally talking to people. He has won a couple of challenges, so good on him for that, but he isn't incredibly social or incredible at much. I feel he made it through the majority of the game by following behind other players (Flicka, Steph, Candice) and he's managed just to be a stray vote for anyone who needs it. That's not a bad strategy since he made it to the end, but he was also not really in control ever. He was more controlled. If he makes it to the final 3 I would need a lot of convincing to consider him a viable winner. He is the goat: won't win, but loyal to the fox or bear.

Stacy was my #1 ally. She was incredibly loyal to me, she seemed to be social with plenty of other people. I thought of her as a reasonable, active, competitive girl. However, she was a follower most of the time. That being said, she played a huge part in getting Cass out, she assisted me in creating alliances and playing the game. She hasn't been the most vocal or commanding person, but there's a lot to say for someone with not much power making it to the end. I believe she has been an amazing player to work with, but saying she is a female Rocky wouldn't necessarily be too far off. She is another goat, but she's my goat <3!

My votes for the FTC will be semi-determined, but how they answer and act will fully determine who deserves to win. If it ends up being Penner, Stacy, Rocky then it could be the most wonderful of votes.

By the way, it's time for an intro, right? :O That would be amazing and nerdy and cool. Who wants to do it?

They do do DVD covers, episodic/season wide fan favorites, identity reveals and edgic IIRC

Generally we have a big ol' Skype chat on reveal night too. Mikes for the brave or just text typing for the rest. So if any of you've need to get yourselves a Skype, now is a good time. (Obviously no trading handles until after the wrap).

For me Penner and Candice have played similar games and I don't see a huge difference between them other than the fact that Candice made herself a more visible threat.

For me, then, it comes down to who connected with me better. And Candice would send me multiple paragraph long PM's and I just never connected with her... I knew she wasn't someone I could trust from the beginning but I never had the numbers to really go after her. I guess she fooled everyone else though?

I remember Cecilia would send me PM's as well along the lines of: "Candice is sneaky and good with PM's. We need to keep her close so that we can get an upper hand on her later." so like... for me it was always established that she was someone I'd fake work with and then get rid of when the time came.

OH YA I'M FORGETTING ONE SUPER IMPORTANT THING: in the counting challenge her "internet died" literally THE SECOND after it was announced I lost the challenge... so like... I really don't think that's a coincidence. It felt like she was purposefully only going along in the challenge to make sure I didn't win, which I found to be a bit of a slap in the face.

And another thing with Penner: when we got to the merge, the pantheon of "public threats" were: me, Cecilia, Jessica, Cassandra, Candice, and Penner. Notice that Cecilia, Jessica, Cassandra, and I are all out of the game.

I guess the same could be said about Candice for making it to the end as well, but what I was going to say about Penner: he was able to completely remove his threat status in only a few rounds while still staying in the majority and maintaining control.

And I really think his low activity was part of his strategy. He was ranked #1 on Svinoy 1.0, controlled Hestur with Candice/Cassandra, and then merged. He knew he had a few easy rounds while Svinoy 2.0 was Pagong'd and the obvious threats were Pagong'd. If he had come out of the gate continuing to be the "big influential player" then he would have been targeted and voted out.

So to me I don't knock the inactivity aspect of his early merge (provided he cites that as his strategy in his speech), meaning I don't see a huge difference with him or Candice.

So then what it comes down to as the "tie breaker" for me is the social game.

but let's be honest with Candice's challenge advantage we're probably looking at a Candice/Stacy/Rocky FTC with a boring coronation of Candice. icon_sleeping

Honestly I feel like Candice and Penner's games were so similar to mine (the strategy that I obviously prefer) so I'm probably voting for either. If both get to the finals, I'll have to brainstorm on all the individual moves they made

Jessica and Cecilia, did you not expect other people to play the game without telling you while you were in the game?

I'm imagining the final immunity challenge to be completely one-sided so I doubt the advantage will come into play. Usually that's how endurance challenges go anyway.

Just gonna weigh in on two things.

She told me after the challenge that this was on purpose, because she wanted you out but didn't want to become a challenge threat herself. From my perspective, that's nothing personal against you, just smart strategy.

I think saying he was in control with me and Candice is a bit of an exaggeration. He had, and probably still has, no clue that the necklace play with Anthony was our doing, and he was slated to go next if we lost immunity a third time. Candice and I often vented to each other about how he would do all the reconnaissance that we did a day after we did it and how we couldn't depend on him to fight with us during challenges. If staying invisible for a few rounds was his strategy, I don't think he implemented it well if he bred so much annoyance toward him.

I did, and they did it very well. I mean, I was hoping everyone's plan coincided with my own but they didn't.

That being said I just couldn't tell if you or Penner were truly playing this game or skirting by. The timezone differences make it hard to tell when you physically aren't able to attend everything because of your disadvantage.

I guess I misunderstood the situation. So you just couldn't really tell because of our lack of appearances and not Cecilia telling you what ever?
I misread the situation hard I guess icon_uhoh

Speaking of you and Cecilia, what happened between you two mid-merge? I heard there was this big argument because of some vote, but I never really asked for detail

I still found it annoying that she could be that close-minded and tunnel-visioned with a: "Person X is going out no matter what even though I haven't talked to them for 7 rounds. I don't care, they're going out no matter what and I'm going to make sure of it by babysitting them in this IC ensuring they lose"

And then she had the audacity to pretend like she "didn't really want to vote me out" and "fought for me to stay but it just didn't work out" like please.

fake.

There was a "necklace play" with Anthony?

I heard he played his necklace, and I remember vaguely you telling me something about it but I don't quite remember... what went down?

After Adam went home, Candice and I had a thing with Mookie and Penner, and then another thing with Anthony. Mookie and Penner wanted Anthony out, but they two were extremely tight, so if we voted Anthony out one of us would be next. With Anthony we could have voted Mookie out but Penner would have caught on and since we saw a swap coming we didn't want Penner going around telling everyone we betrayed him. We worked out that the backup plan if Anthony played a necklace was Mookie. I gave Anthony the necklace I won last round so that he could play it and we could vote out Mookie without Penner suspecting anything. Penner and Mookie voted for Candice, Mookie went home 3-2, and as a result Penner thinks he's the one that flipped and has been trying to prove his loyalty ever since.
