Pre-Jury
Ozzy and Rita - Quit - 19th Place
We hardly knew ye. No, really. I didn't know anything about these guys but it kind of sucks because Ozzy was such a power player in the real show, so I was expecting his namesake to bring the fire.
Adam - 18th Place
Adam was cute and funny in the challenge threads, I think we would have gotten along if we ended up on the same tribe together. I remember being surprised when he was the first one voted out after Penner botched the challenge. Little did I know.
Mookie - 17th Place
I was on Mookie's tribe very briefly, but we never spoke. Like Adam, I was surprised that he went home so soon, but I was beginning to see the way the tribal lines were forming on that tribe.
Papa Smurf & Yau Man (Quit) - 15th Place
Papa S was actually, maybe, the first blindside of the game. We went to tribal and JP played an Idol and so we had to resort to a backup plan that we really hadn't discussed. Everyone voted for Papa S and I voted for Nate. Maybe that was a bit of foreshadowing? Nate forgave me at the time, but maybe he shouldn't have. I was actually kind of relieved when Yau quit. He had that public Idol and seemed to be playing hard, just like the real Yau, so I was relieved to have one less strong player in the game.
JP - 14th Place
I wasn't surprised that JP was voted off during the first tribal council after the swap. We had been gunning for him the week before, so I figured Jessica would carry that over to the new tribe. Little did I know what was going on over there. JP didn't talk to a lot of people though, which I think we his biggest mistake in the game, because otherwise he seemed cool.
Anthony - 13th Place
I was sad when I learned that Anthony went home. He was part of the first major alliance I made called "Beautiful People" (BP), as per Jessica's suggestion. He and I talked about and he seemed like a smart player. That's when I knew something was amiss on the other tribe and that Jessica would probably be in danger if and when we merged. I either had to distance myself from her and find new allies or start making bonds with her ASAP.
Jurors
Stephannie - 12th Place
Oh Steph. You went out with a bang and a half. That fake Idol almost led to me going home instead and if I had, I probably would have found it more funny than anything. You made sure to shake the game up as much as you could before leaving.
Flicka - 11th Place
Like I said, I learned very late in the game that Flicka was a sweetheart and while I wish I could have done more to save her, I knew she was on the outs with her alliance and would desperate pair up with anyone who offered it to her. CiCi was the most likely one to do that and given that CiCi was safe, it would be a risk to keep anyone who might join her during next week's vote. Not really her fault, more that CiCi couldn't be targeted that week.
Cecilia - 10th Place
Girl, we had some good talks about the game and life, but even I knew that you were playing the game harder than anyone. You had so many plates spinning and they all came crashing down the same week. I think if (more like when) they call you back for an all-star season, you just have to learn to tone it down just a little. But you've got game, no doubt.
Cassandra - 9th Place
The big cheese. The head honcho. You had a plan and you intended to stick with it. So much so that you didn't realize your plan didn't benefit the rest of us. When making alliances, it's like a trade. If the trade isn't fair, people won't take it and will go somewhere else to find a better offer. I learned that very quickly in this game and while you were a great person to talk to and strategize with, you weren't my best offer.
Liliana - 8th Place
I loved chatting with you too, Lil. We didn't talk strategy much because we were often on opposite ends of the spectrum, but I still liked having you around. You were always entertaining during Tribal and in the camp and despite knowing it was the right decision to vote you out when we did, I knew I'd miss you.
Jessica - 7th Place
I stuck with you to the very bitter end. I knew our allies had turned on us and there was nothing we could do. You had too many enemies, but I loved you. You were my closest ally and friend in this game. We talked about so many possible options for us, but in the end, they were one move ahead of us. I hope we keep in touch after the game is done.
Nate - 6th Place
Nate, I don't know why you forgave me as much as you did, but you did. You were loyal to a fault, but also someone I knew I could never fully trust, which I say as a compliment. You always had something on your mind and were working hard to get further and I respected that, but I also knew it would be easily to have the same thing happen to me as it did to Jessica, so I took the chance while I had it.
Rebecca - Quit - 5th Place
Oh Rebecca. Our loveable goat. We talked about strategy and life and while you were rarely at challenges and tribal, you were still fun to have around. I think if you hadn't of quit, you might be standing in this Final 3 instead of one of us. Hard to say who because this game is never predictable, but despite your absence, you were still a strong player. You had Penner on your side and that's all you needed.
Candice - 4th Place
My girl. If we had met sooner in this game, I think we could have dominated it. But then we might have been the big threats that everyone wanted to take out. Our alliance started as "just watching out for each other" and ended up with us breaking down the walls we needed to to get to the Final 4 together. If I could have brought you into the Final 3, I would have, but you know as well as I do that you'd have dominated. Everyone would have said you were the reason that Penner and I were there at all. The warnings were on the wall that you were the one to beat. I love, trust and respect you and I'm so glad to have played with you. Like I said with Jess, I hope we stay in touch after this.
Final 3
Penner
You're one tough broad, man. Going from absent to masterminding Jess's elimination in one fell swoop. Just know that I won't go easy on you during this FTC. You're smart, cunning and truly the biggest threat to win this game. I'm going to bring my A game to convince the jury that the moves you made weren't yours alone and that mine were better. We were underdogs in the game and we came back to be the last ones standing and that's respectable. Kudos to us for that.
Rocky
Another underdog and a great guy to talk to. I was never sure how seriously he was taking the game until we got to the last few votes and I knew, if things went belly up, I could offer him the chance to make the Final 3. After Penner betrayed you during the Nate vote, you bit and we started really talking strategy for the first time all season. It was an alliance in the 11th hour but it got us here, so I respect you for that. If you're right and we do live near each other, I fully expect to go for a beer sometime.
