Episode 01 - Poody Ponders

So overall I'm super excited about where this season is going. I feel like Episode 01 was a really slow start, but set up some good things to come for the explosion that was the Faroe Islands Address. Now that this round is over, I feel like we are in full Stranded mode and this game has finally begun in a HUGE way. Something about an early swap is great. It really gives new life to people who previously were in a tough spot as well as making everyone super focused on the game because everyone is in immediate danger. We really needed it and it totally jump started what I think will become a really really epic season.

How this will work since I usually give a rundown of everyone is, I'll start with the most influential people and try to get everyone in, but sometimes there's just not much to say about certain players who are either laying low or didn't impact much.

If we're starting on Mykines and talking about the most influential players... You have to talk about Cassandra. Wow what a powerhouse. She's controlling... manipulative... micromanaging and somewhat of an elitist bitch but GOD DAMNIT IS SHE AMAZING. I mean THAT'S what I want to see out of a first time player and ESPECIALLY out of someone we waffled on casting. It's just a reminder that anyone can surprise you and prove that they are amazing even if they were on-the-fence casting choices. She's a star already and I would be very disappointed if she doesn't make merge. I just cant see this season without her. And the beauty of that is that i was totally not expecting it from her. I love her alliance of bitches, with Liliana and Jessica, I love that she was so evilly wanting to vote out the active members of the inactives, like... who does that? Ew... She's a supervillain but she's AMAZING at it. Love her. Definitely one of the early standouts.

Which brings us to the other end of that spectrum, the completely adorable Jessica. Wow she is giving this her all, she's made huge connections with everyone and everyone is loving Jessica. I mean she scored a whopping 20 percentage points over everyone in the entire game in that ranking, it wasn't even close. She earned it to because she's so likable. On top of that, I think she has serious game too. She's in all the alliances, she's non-threatening and ultimately she hasn't gotten caught yet, even though her alliance member is looking to set her up as the big threat. She's already potentially planning on cutting Cassandra loose. I love it. Cass and Jessica were definitely the early stars of Mykines and the game as a whole, both aligned and opposites in approach. Jessica was more easy-going and Cassandra was all about having it her way.

Yau Man was the first person in this game to make an impression when he immediately grabbed the Public Immunity Idol within the first hour of the game thus setting himself up as target numero uno. Love it. What else I love was that his entire tribe was planning on booting him and he seemingly had no idea. In fact he's so confident that he would be safe he's declared he would not use the idol and would rather use it as a bargaining chip to gain trust. That's good in theory and all, but dude, everyone knows you have it, what are you going to bargain wtih? Ditch the idol, Yau!!! I love this guy though, he's so over the top, arrogant and ridiculous. On top of this he proclaims that he will be the best at challenges, which lol... fail. And believe me, EVERYONE was waiting to see you fail. He's the Coach of this season and I hope his storyline continues. I'm glad he wasn't the first out and made it into a swap situation where his idol decision actually isn't looking too bad anymore. What a character.

Rocky was a star thus far in the episode. I expected a lot from him and I didn't get exactly what I expected, but I got something that's probably better in the long haul for his game. It shows that he's an experienced player because he's doing exactly what I said he should do and using his over the top personality as a distraction from his gameplay. He's actually playing the game incredibly well. He's not in the forefront of every alliance like Cassandra is, but he's somewhere in the middle and apart of everything, which is where you want to be ideally, at least I think. I love his personality and i love that he's laying low but also a huge personality and if you can manage those two things you're golden. I'm hoping for the best with him even in this sticky situation of a swap.

Mookie is someone who reminds me a lot of Rocky, but he's more serious. I like Mookie a lot because unlike Rocky I think he's growing and adapting to the game whereas Rocky already has it figured out. It's fun to see someone new who has a ton of potentially actually get it and start to work on things. There are a couple of players like this but I really think Mookie is one to watch out for. I love his sarcasm and I don't think he's a bad player either, he's going to need to step up the activity a bit, but he seems to be doing just fine for now and will hopefully be with us for a while longer.

The rest of the players on the tribe, if I'm honest, have not made a huge impression on me. They all have great potential, but they have either activity issues or are completely hiding in the background. I think Anthony needs to step up his confidence a bit, I mean it plays into the reason why we casted him in the first place, but he's going to be in trouble quickly on these smaller tribes. He was doing fine on the large tribe, but when there's no where to hide you kind of have to make an impression of some kind on people and he hasn't done that. Papa Smurf is a big disappointment so far. I feel like he's not delivering at all on his initial promise of chaos and he's totally lost here. I don't see him lasting long in this and it's really disappointing because I had high hopes for him coming into this. I hope that the low ranking and swap can help him turn it around, but as of right now, I just don't see it. Liliana is obviously talking to everyone nad playing well, but she's so under the radar that I have no actual opinion of her. That's not a bad thing because it's good gameplay but she's going to have to start asserting herself and showing her cards a bit if she ever hopes to win or make it far. Again, I also think she has a lot of potential as does the rest of the cast. Stacy is someone who was a last minute replacement, but I still had hopes that she would pull this out and do well given her gaming experience and enthusiasm. Unfortunately she seems lost here and willing to just accept her role as background player. It may end up working out for her and I hope it does, but for right now there's not much to talk about here.

As for Rita, Sorry to see her go. We all thought she was going to be an absolute star in this and I think she wanted to be as well, but sometimes timing just doesn't work out. Oh well, everything happesn for a reason and this was not her season to shine. Maybe another time.

On Svinoy, the tribe dynamics were so different but at the same time equally delicious. I love this tribe. I think they have the best mix of personality and hardcore gamers. I would say of the two, it's the more serious tribe. I think the first person I'll talk about on it is Candice who is a veteran to these things, but most importantly the ultimate Candice in my eyes. I'm not sure why but I just see her as an underdog here. I'm nto sure if it's her age or her experience, but either way I really think she's someone I'm rooting for. It's not that she isn't capable because lol, she's a better player than most people out here, but something about her inability in challenges and difference from the rest of the cast just sets her apart and I absolutely adore it. She's my favorite this season and there was no other option for Candice even though some people were trying to get me to pick someone else *ahem*. She is Stranded's Candice in my eyes. She's going to do well here and i'm rooting for her all the way.

Likewise, another person destined to play a part in Stranded history is Penner. Wow what a legend. Already this guy is a huge force to be reckoned with and I think far and away the smartest player we've had in a long time. He's brand new to the game and is already doing a pretty damn good job of controlling it. Plus I really like the way he describes everything and he's just a really smart smart guy. I think he's an absolute star in the game so far and he's going to do really really well here, I hope anyway. He is Penner and now I cannot imagine anyone else being him.

Oh boy, now that we've gotten the two huge brilliant strategists out of the way... Cecilia. Cecilia is already a legend in my eyes, I might be over inflating this but the girl is absolutely insane and i'm loving every minute of it. I mean right out of the game, making alliances with everyone, she has an adorable personality that's fun to talk to. But she's also kind of nuts. Like she's way over the top with all her opinions and totally overplays this, but I really love that. I love that it comes in the package of a brazilian hot tamale that is just here to destroy everyone. Like, she's a host's wet dream and I'm so glad she is thriving in this as I had hoped she would. She will be a star. I hope she doesn't overplay herself out early and can at least make the merge. Here's hoping anyway...

Another huge trainwrecky character is Flicka, but she's an entirely different train-wreck from Cecilia. She's kind of clueless in this and that stems from being entirely new. It's hilarious how much she's annoyed everyone on her tribe by being overly friendly and having no substance in her PMs. It's like the socially awkward kid that means well but really annoys the fuck out of everyone. Similar to Eliza without the strong game to back it up. I can't help but love her though. She's adorable and i'm rooting for her to make a comeback and bumblefuck her way through the game. I kind of liken her to Ralph in that way, kind of doofy, maybe not the best player but someone you root for because they're genuine and likable. I absolutely ADORED her relationship with Candice and Candice's ability to coach her on how to improve her game and it seemed to have worked out well so far! Bummed they were split up, hopefully they both make it far enough so we can get some closure on that budding friendship.

Rebecca's someone that I don't think people give enough credit. She's hilarious first of all, but secondly she's actually playing a really solid game and I htink as time goes by she'll gain confidence in her ability and really shine through this cast. Humor alone is enough to make me love her. Her confessionals are top quality rivaled only by Cecilia (whose are amazing btw). The biggest problem is that she wasnt active during some critical moments, but seems to have her head in the game now and going into the swap was very active and was hilarious during the pickem. I think she's being unfairly judged by her rep and I think as more time goes by we'll get to really like her.

Nate was a last minute replacement that we really waffled on and didn't want to cast, but now that we have, he's totally delivering. I mean he was amazingly focused and into the game and it kind of shows that if someone wants this badly enough, you can't totally go on their past game experience. He played in a previous game and was kind of a borewhore, but now he's out to prove that he can do better and really wants to. I love that about him. Add that to the underdog factor of him entering the game late and we have a solid character on our hands. Not to mention he very quickly sussed out that Cecilia was at the head of a majority alliance. This guy has game and i think we're going to see him do very well this season which I would love.

Stephannie is someone who hasn't done extremely well in the past but is doing very well here... so far. I just am not particularly invested in her. Like I love her character, she's super nice, but nothing interesting is going on there yet. I want to see her step it up and start playing a bit harder and i haven't seen that. Good news is it's very early and she has a lot of time to do that. Adam is funny but kind of in the same boat as Stephannie for me. I don't know... I just see him floating his way through the game by just being a nice funny guy. Nothing wrong with that but... move out of the way for the serious players or start playing harder. JP is someone who has a ton of potential and seems to be playing well. We just haven't seen a whole lot of him because he's been in the shadows. I suspect we will see more out of him now that we've swapped.

And finally, I'm super bummed to say goodbye to Ozzy because I think he would have been an absolute legend in this. I'm hoping we get the opportunity to see how he does on a future season because this was really sad to see him go so soon.

With that said, we have an amazing cast all of which seem to be improving. I would say Day 05 solidified this as a promising season and was infinitely better than Day 04's showing. The entire cast showed up, everyone was interacting and super excited about the swap and we look like we have 3 very entertaining and interesting tribes that will give us all a season's worth of entertainment. I cannot wait to see whats in store for these guys.

Episode 02 - Probst's Thoughts

So wow, a lot has been going on and I have been absolutely glued to my computer screen reading the play-by-play. It's been some of the most intense and exciting few days in Stranded history, let's hope it continues!

The entirety of the storyline revolved around Hestur this round. I don't think I even payed attention to the ohter tribes as they both won Immunity so there wasn't as much to watch. However, Hestur being the most likely tribe to succeed, with a lot of the strongest players in the game, provided plenty of entertainment. First of all I'm absolutely gutted that they lost this challenge. HOW COULD THEY LOSE?! But I think that responsibility rests SOLELY on Penner because he completely botched that selection. I mean awful.... TERRIBLE... DEPLORABLE.

There was a bit of a back and forth between the 3 original Mykines and the 3 original Svinoy. Some solid inroads were made by all, but this is where the players really started to shine. I think the entire hosting staff was biting their nails hoping the fan-favorite (as of round 2 lol) would somehow make it out of this impossible situation where it seemed he was the most obvious target. Not only did he fuck up the challenge, but he was also voted most popular on Svinoy and as such became the former Mykines M.O. for the boot. Then something brilliant happened.

Penner started working on Mookie and they formed a genuine bond. Meanwhile, Candice started working on Anthony and Cassandra and formed a strong bond with both. Watching Candice and Penner tag team Mykines seriously gave me chills. I think Penner was great, but Candice is better.

She had such a genuine and subtle way about her when she was working Cass and Anthony over. It was effortless and you couldn't help but buy into it. Seriously if she's not in sales, she needs to be because she could sell ice to an eskimo. I was VERY impressed with her this round and its clear that she will be stearing this ship for the entire game. She has Cass under her thumb and Cassandra doesn't even realize it.

Ultimately, through some miracle, the best of the best decided to form an alliance together and take out Adam and Anthony. Mookie, Cassandra, Penner and Candice all came together in what can only be described as my personal wet dream.

Unfortunately, they voted out Adam, who was kind of the comic relief of the season, but for the best because loosing Candice or Penner this early would have been a travesty.

Episode 03–Episode 05 - Probst's Thoughts

So I have some catching up to do in the blogging department because i've been so distracted by the amazing gameplay going on here. Let's begin where we left off at Hestur. Hestur had shockingly lost the first Immunity Challenge and Adam was booted for being too friendly? I think they were looking for serious strategists and Adam's happy-go-lucky nature didn't fit in with their plan. Cassandra-Candice-Penner-Mookie had all formed an alliance of the best of the tribe and all looked set in stone from there.

Episode 03

When Hestur unexpectedly lost their second Immunity Challenge in a row, shit really hit the fan. Candice had been growing closer and closer to Anthony throughout this time. She mentioned that she liked his quiet and calculated style of gameplay more than she was a fan of Mookie's. I think she became concerned with Penner's control of the tribe and his very tight-knit relationship with Mookie.

So it only spelled more trouble ahead when Penner decided last minute that he was going to go celebrate with his friends instead of participating in the Immunity Challenge. Against her common sense, this infuriated his closest ally, Candice. Candice is quite insecure when it comes to challenges in this game, and rightly so because she was absolutely no help in either Immunity Challenge. What's frustrating about that is that she was entertaining company during that time too and because of that she was too distracted to help out in the challenge. This should have been an easy challenge for someone without a lot of speed or computer skillz to excel at. It only required common sense and information hunting. I thought this would have been the perfect challenge for her to do well, but she still bombed horribly.

This is what set off the entire problem on Hestur because Candice was furious that she could not sit out of the challenge because Penner was off celebrating last minute. Fair enough, you can be mad at someone for not showing up, but you can't be mad if your reason is so that you can sit out because you also have company over. That was a little hypocritical and probably the first time I've truly disliked Candice this season.

So being infuriated and also having formed a very close bond wtih Anthony, Candice went to Cassandra and decided to form an alliance between the three of them to take out Penner's bofo Mookie. When Penner came online the next day, he sensed something was up and thought Cassandra/Mookie/Anthony might have targeted him in his absence. After talking to his tribemates he decided to shift his target from Anthony onto Candice, the tribe's weakest link.

Here's where it gets fun. In an attempt to make it seem as though Anthony had won individual immunity and they had no choice but to betray Mookie, Cassandra plans to secretly give Anthony her Immunity Necklace. Ironically, this allows her to win the challenge again and now she has another one.

Anthony plays his necklace, Penner and Mookie both vote for Candice and Candice/Cassandra/Anthony all vote for Mookie. Mookie goes home :'(

Super sad to see Mookie leave, I think he had huge potential, but alas, wasn't meant to be.

Episode 04

On Svinoy, Flicka has found the Hidden Immunity Idol. With the tribe never having to go to Tribal Council, there isn't much to report here, however it is worth noting that Stephannie seems to be running the ship, while Rocky and Yau Man have formed a close alliance, which I absolutely loved. Meanwhile, Rocky has been leading his tribe to victory at all the challenges and solidifying himself as a huge player in this game for me personally.

Finally, after losing twice, Hestur was able to pull out a win. I might attribute that to Candice sitting out icon_lol . I think they slayed the other tribes, obviously... their counting wasn't the fastest, but they were the first to nail the timing of the first portion of the challenge and they were able to pull out their first victory. So proud icon_cry

Now for the meat of the episode, Mykines going to their first Tribal Council. They were kind of all over the place with Cecilia initially targeting Jessica for her bonds with the other tribe and everyone in general. However, when push came to shove, the tribe as a whole decided their least active member, JP, should be the first to go.

The problem came when they found out he had the Individual Immunity Necklace and was definitely going to play it. Fortunately for Jessica, Cecilia had a change of heart after getting to know her and deciding that the tribe needed challenge strength.

Despite a last minute effort from Stacy, they were unable to rally the votes to get rid of Nate because Papa Smurf was no where to be found. The vote quickly turned to Papa Smurf after JP played his necklace and he was sent packing.

Episode 05

The episode began with the third quit of the season as we regrettably lost Yau Man. This would prove to be the least unusual thing to happen in this round. With only 14 players remaining in the game, it was time for one last swap as we moved randomly into two tribes of seven.

It was an odd mix of players, but I actually kind of loved it and we ended up with a lot of my favorites on Mykines. Svinoy had a lot of my favorites as well, just a majority of the big players ended up on Mykines.

We kicked off this swap with a Stranded classic, the prisoner's dilemma. As luck would have it, someone on Svinoy took the necklace! Stephannie grabbed it and sent her tribe to Tribal Council. What happened next was pure insanity.

There was all kinds of crazy scheming and plotting going on all night and into the next day it was hard to keep track of who was what. The targets seemed to bounce between Liliana, JP, Jessica and Flicka. Jessica came on strong to the entire tribe and demanded that Flicka be the one to get the boot. This of course didn't sit well with Stephannie who was not only close to Flicka, but also in control of things and not particularly pleased with someone giving her an ultimatum.

When it came down to it, Flicka confided in Stephannie that she had the Hidden Immunity Idol and this proved to pay off almost immediately as Stephannie saw a way out of booting Flicka. She told Flicka of Jessica's plan to boot her at the next Tribal Council and Flicka decided she wanted Jessica gone as a result. Stephannie was on board after fed up with being told what to do by Jessica.

What happened next was nothing short of insanity as Jessica proclaimed she was 100% confident that Flicka would go home and her necklace was to precious to lose. By this time, Stephannie had secured the votes for Jessica to go home by letting Rocky in on the plan.

During Tribal Council, when I asked for players to play their individual immunity necklaces, of course Stephannie played hers as was expected, but what happened next was something I will never forget and probably a top moment for me. Flicka tried to play her Hidden Immunity Idol. I thought at the time this was a mistake, but afterwards she said she did it on purpose to cause drama... I don't know. I'm not sold on that. Either way this immediately sent Jessica into panic mode and she finally decided to play her Individual Immunity Necklace with mere seconds to spare.

With half the tribe voting Jessica and the other half voting Flicka, and both having shown their immunities, the tribe was at a loss of who to vote for. What happened next was a miracle from Stranded Jesus and all of the players in the game started announcing who they were voting for. Rocky and Liliana announcing they were voting for JP. Then JP becoming furious and proclaiming he was voting for Rocky with Stacy. Then Flicka trying to put the vote onto Anthony as a safe middle ground. Rocky and JP contemplating just voting for Rocky but Stephannie decides she's just going to go watch youtube videos and stick to her JP vote forcing Rocky and Flickas hand.

So at the very last minute we ended up with a vote of 3 - Rocky and 4 - JP with JP being the one to go home. Wow, that's how you do a Council, welcome to Stranded ladies and gentlemen.

Probst's Thoughts

So that's all that has happened, now here's my take on it. First of all, this season has turned out to be amazing so far. It will depend on how the merge goes, as always, as to where the season ranks, but as of right now it's gotten better and better and better and last night was a crescendo of amazingness. I think overall we have a stacked cast and we have gotten incredibly lucky with the boot order thus far only really losing Mookie as one of our big players. The rest all had potential, but of the boots, Mookie was the only one really living up to that potential as the game was happening. The others were almost there, but never quite hit their stride. Maybe they'll get a second chance in the near future icon_wink

I suppose now is a good time to go through all of the contestants remaining in the game on both tribes as I haven't done that in a long time.

Mykines

Candice has an amazing storyline going. While she's kind of waned between my favorite and frustrating, for the most part she's still one of the most influential players this season and definitely one of the stars of it. She's certainly one of the best players out here and for the most part is a sweet person. I may not agree with who she targets all the time or her opinions on players, but you can't fault her for that. She's a solid solid player and she's definitely helping steer the ship. She's not in the captain's seat, but she's definitely influencing the captains on how they should be driving. That's a powerful position and whether or not people will realize it will be to their detriment. Definitely excited to see what she can do in the merge. I'm a little hesitant because she may want to take out all of my big players, and that would be no bueno, but she is good and she's one of my favorites herself.

Cassandra is a boss bitch this season. She's definitely one of the biggest characters and players in the game. She's the captain of the ship in a lot of ways. I'm not sure how many people see that as of now, but they definitely will in the merge. She's fascinating to watch. I don't actually know if I like her opinions or her in general, but I LOVE her as a player and to deny her abilities is ignorant. i think she's for sure an all-star here and I would say skews into villainhood. I love the story she has going with the fellow Hesturs and I can't wait to see how that plays out throughout the season.

Cecilia is batshit crazy and I absolutely love her for it. She changes her mind on a whim and is constantly flipping targets. She's always in everyone's ear, she's very aggressive and abrasive about it. She's rubbed most people the wrong way, but I absolutely love that about her. She's not afraid to be herself her and go balls ot the wall and you can't help but love that. She's definitely a star this season and I pray she makes merge because she deserves to and I think will be a hell of a lot of fun in it. Can't wait to see the stunts she pulls for the rest of the season.

Nate's an underdog coming into the game late, he's a strategic threat, he's a really cool guy, he's funny and I think a lot of people really like Nate. He may be in trouble on this tribe just due to numbers, but I really like Nate as a character and a player. He's not necessarily over the top but he's a solid guy and a good player. I think he will do some serious damage if he makes the merge. I think he could easily win this thing. He's got the right mix of gameplay and ease about him that's non threatening but still willing to get his hands dirty. He could do very well here if he can just make it out of this Tribal Stage. I also think Nate's got to step it up and start putting his mark on the game. Get into alliances, make targets, etc... I think if he can do that without going overboard, he's got a great shot.

Penner is someone who is everyone's favorite I think. He's a smart smart guy, he's funny and he's got a bit of deviousness too him. He's also escaped certain death more than a few times this season and that's always endearing. He's had a cool off period since his stint of councils on Hestur, and that's probably for the best for him because he was next on that chopping block. I think Penner's a shoe in for merge and hopefully late game. I think when he gets the opportunity he's going to make some big moves and cause some havoc and I cannot wait to see that pan out. I think my favorite storyline of Penner's right now is his frienemy-ship with Candice. They've been together the entire game and are very close, but Penner went behind Candice's back and wanted her voted out. Candice also went behind Penner's back and wanted to take him down a notch, but she never targeted him personally. They are both playing my favorite Stranded trope of cat and mouse. I haven't seen it in a long time, but it has produced some of the most epic storylines and players in Stranded History: Taj and JT, Teresa and Ethan, Carl and Jessie, Lill and Amanda to name a few. It's the players who are close, but also looking to take each other out at any available opportunity, but forced to be in an alliance together. It's such an amazing spy-vs-spy game that I love to watch play out and if these two can keep it going all season will put them in the category of legends mentioned above.

I think Rebecca has such potential but so far she's just taken on the roll of happy go lucky funny gif poster who is annoying everyone as the days go by. I had such high hopes for her after we trashed her initially and then she came on and started to deliver. But she's definitely fallen into a follower position and hasn't offered much to the game in terms of story. She has a personality in there and i want to see it come out, but she hasn't delivered at all. I'll work on her and try to get her to come out of her shell and start making moves instead of just going along for the ride. If she could do that, she could be a star here. If not, she will continue to fade into obscurity.

Stacy is a gamebot for sure. She's not giving up much personality, she's purely going hard in the challenges and on a strategic level. I don't know how well that will do for her, but I could definitely see her become a huge character in the later stages of the game if she challenge-whores it to the end and continues wheeling and dealing the same way. I think we just need to push her to be a bit more villainous in confessionals. I'd like her to at least be given us soundbytes of how she is a mastermind and a machine, etc... I'll see what I can do to get it out of her.

Svinoy

Anthony, I think Jeff said it, but when discussing cockroaches of the season, Anthony is quickly becoming one. He seems to always be up for discussion as a boot option but just eeks out of it. I actually am beginning to really like him as he's been a focal point of the season due to circumstance. He's not the most outspoken or interesting player, but he's a gamer for sure and he's making his way through the game. I actually think he's been learning a lot on how to play this out as he's had to go to so many councils. He's not a bad player, he just needs to be more confident in his abilities and start making his destiny happen instead of having it happen to him.

Flicka has easily become my favorite player in the game over the past few episodes. She started the game annoying the shit out of everyone with her newbie ways. Her short PM's, not really answering or asking questions just being sickeningly sweet to everyone. Then she went through a phase of growth through some tutelage by Candice. Sooner than later, she's ending up in majority alliances and finding idols and playing them successfully... I just love her storyline of going from bumbling her way through the game to becoming an actual player. It's so fun to watch. She really reminds me of Sugar in that way. She's just such a sweetheart and to have her also find herself in this game and become a player is amazing to see. She's created the highlight of the season with her idol play and she's gone on to push for big targets and try to get her way during Council. I'm really love Flicka and I'm totally on board with her this season now. She's gone from character to star and I cannot wait to see what happens next and how this story ends.

Jessica kind of has an opposite trajectory story-wise than Flicka, but equally delicious. She started out the game a really strong player. She was close with everyone on her tribe but not threatening to anyone. She hadn't gotten caught yet. Then, the swap happened and she was named most popular. That's when things started to roll downhill for Jessica because not only was she outed as a huge threat to everyone, but she also started to buy her own press. She truly believes she is the best player this season and that she has been controlling and manipulating everyone after that swap. The problem is that she's overdone it and has become fake and a threat to everyone. This was emphasized at the last council when her hubris led her to believe she was completely safe, only to have the rug pulled out from under her and by Flicka (her mirror twin in this game) no less. She quickly fell to the bottom of the totem pole and realized she was fucked and all of this had been orchestrated behind her back. There's two ways this storyline plays out for her. She can either, take on board what happened and start rebuilding her image as an underdog fighting her way through the game, OR she will just become the next boot and her downfall will be complete. I hope for the former because it would be an amazing story and really fun to watch her become the next cockroach and slip through the cracks council after council. Let's hope for that!

I still don't have a lot to say about Liliana, but she's managing to stay in the game so good for her? If she's going to be UTR, she needs to at least be entertaining in confessionals, but she's not. She's boring as fuck and she either needs to step up, like I saw her do during Council, or get out of the way of this amazing season.

Rocky is a favorite in this game. He's loud, abrasive, hilarious and somewhat under the radar??? I feel like he's got a lot going for him. He will be a threat to people but I think he could make it deep at least. He's lead his tribe to victory, and just this last round he came out swinging, calling people mother fuckers, loved it. This guy is a star. I was so excited he was able to turn the vote onto JP and he wasnt booted last night. I cannot wait to see what he does in a merge situation where he can wheel and deal freely.

Stephannie came in kind of quiet and has grown into a mastermind and i'm loving it. She completely orchestrated that last vote with Flicka and played everyone like a fiddle. Especially Jessica, that was so fun to watch. Not sure I particularly like her in the game as someone I'm rooting for but she is certainly playing very well. She's gotten alliances under her belt, she's wheeling and dealing and it's fun to watch. Last night really made me see her as a threat in this game and i think a large part of that has to do with her letting go of her past experiences in online games and just giving into this experience. If she continues to do that she will do well here, and not only that, but she will be a star.

Overall this is an amazing cast and I think we're in for a fun merge. Hopefully it plays out well and we have a strong second half to match the amazing first half of the season.
