Episode 01

Hey, I'm John Cochran, WINNER of Stranded in the Marquesas (All Stars).

Welcome to Stranded in the Faroe Islands!

You'll be seeing a lot of me here, as well as our 10 other co-hosts as we pick your brain to see what's really going on in your head throughout the game. Feel free to ask any of us questions in here if you need to, we've all been through it before and are more than willing to help.

Each round, we'll start by asking some introductory questions, and I just want to ask that you answer in complete statements. We will be actively blogging on each episode, and it's easier to do so if we have real quotes and complete thoughts as opposed to simple yes or no answers. We hope you keep up with your confessionals daily during the week as a way to vent and discuss the events of that day. The more you update your confessional, the better idea we have of whats going on in your head, and also the more fan favorite points you'll earn yourself come the end of the season . You don't have to only update when you are prompted to, whenever you have an idea shoot it at us because we want to know everything.

How confident are you going into this game that you will win?

Well.. Here we are!

As a huge fan of the show this is an awesome opportunity to test my stuff against others who are here to play!

Now, as far as how confident I am that I'll win... Im still not too sure. From the first few moments of the game I can tell I'm up against people who know what they're doing, so this isn't going to be a walk in the park. Im also not nearly as ORG savy as many of my tribemates so that could pose a threat to my game. However, Im confident I've got a pretty solid shot at this one. That 0$ check is as good as mine ;).

My strategy going into the first few weeks is to play it cool, and get my social game together. Staying on top of people and reading them through a few short PM's is gonna be tough so I'm gonna make sure to establish as many connections as possible. I'm taking this shit serious lol

I think my rep is a fairly good fit, but I by no means plan to play the same as he did. Adaptability is key, and I plan on playing however's gonna get me farther in this game, even if it gets ugly.

The twist is definitely interesting. Im not sure how I feel about Yau man jumping for that public immunity idol, pretty balsy move if you ask me. I need to see if it's a situation in which I can work with him, or if the idols presence is just too much to keep in this game. If sending home Yau Man to flush the idol early on is the best move, it may have to happen. The hidden immunity idol is a different story. I need that thing. Im not sure how to find the password or clues but I don't care if I guess every plant, bridge, or city related to the Faroe Islands, but i need that password!!!

Alright Tony, you mentioned that you'd be playing a more adaptive game? How has that translated into the short time that you've had here already? Are you finding allies?

Considering that we're nearly 24 hours into the game, Ive made an effort to contact and start an open conversation with all my tribunates. Have I made specific allies yet? I wouldn't say so. However, due to the pace of the game it may be wise to begin to cultivate more set-in-stone alliances. Time will tell...

In the past couple days I've had a good feeling about potentially working with Cassandra. We seem to be on the same page and is fairly vocal about her opinion. Stacey is also someone that seems to have a feel for the game and we have a fairly open line of communication. Me and Yau Man have cultivated a relationship as well, which is good considering he has the Public Immunity Idol. However, the vibe around camp is that if we go to tribal we may need to flush the idol. If that move would be in my best interest remains to be seen. I guess it comes down to how the challenge plays out tomorrow...

Are there any players who are less active than the rest? Are they potentially first boot options?

Absolutely,

Me and Cassandra were able to solidify a core 5 that we believe to have the best connection with into an early "alliance." Those who are less active fall outside of this alliance so as things sit they are definitely first boot options if we go to tribal. However, Yau Man, who has been active and currently has an idol, is someone I could potentially work with in this game and is not in the alliance. So I plan on keeping him off our alliances radar. However, he already seems to be the girl's number one target. So we'll see if I can work around this and make sure who I want to go home, goes home.


Off Topic Question: About the hidden immunity Idol, will we be notified if someone acquires it? I don't want to burn time trying a ton passwords if I don't need to lol

How about this, if we type in a correct password but the idol has already been found will we be notified then? Or will it just state that the password is incorrect?

And it's the most frustrating thing in the world.

As for more discussion. It seems like you've mentioned a core 5... who are they? This alliance you seem to have made, how are you going to use it to your advantage here?

[Anthony]

Well it's me, Cassandra, Stacey, Liliana, and Jessica. We seem to be the most active 5 in our tribe and they were the only people in the tribe I had started to talk game with other than Yau Man. I hope to use them to stay in the majority of the tribe going into our first tribal, whenever that may be. If this alliance will remain after the first few challenges remains to be seen.

Also, the fact that Im the only guy on the alliance could be a good thing or a bad thing. If there is a sort of gender struggle within the tribe I may serve as a swing vote for either side. I guess it's too early to tell.

I think I get a better idea of the tribes dynamics when we have to start voting people out. Luckily we won immunity tonight so we have until or next challenge to see.

And what is YOUR plan for that first tribal council?

As things stand, I don't have a specific target. The alliance I am a part of has mentioned targeting Yau to flush the idol. I like Yau enough and I see us potentially working together so I'd even consider warning him to use his idol and I can choose a target of my own. There's also this hidden necklace immunity in play so there's a lot to think about
