What a mad day. We're down 14 people and I finally feel (slightly) comfortable. Which is probably a bad sign, actually. The new tribe is stacked with old Svinoy people (plus the awesome Cassandra) and I'm looking forward to catching up with CiCi again. Nate seems like a pretty sound guy socially but I think he's probably pretty cutthroat. I'd be happy to work with him but only so far as I need his vote, I don't know if I could trust him much further than that.
Papa Smurf leaving: who knows, who cares. He seemed like kind of an ass in the challenge threads but beyond that I didn't really know anything about him. Same goes for Yau-Man quitting, although BONUS there goes his idol. Unless he gave it to someone else, that is. [Can the public immunity idol also be traded?]
Steph... I don't know what she was thinking, really. Maybe she feels that they can win immunity up to the merge and she'll have enough time to repair the damage. I can only assume there's a big split vote coming her way tonight though, I'd be shocked if that idol makes it beyond tonight's tribal council. She played it so badly though, she didn't seem even slightly remorseful about taking it. She better have a whopper social game to patch this up but I don't think she can fix that. On the other hand, I'm *amazed* Stacy didn't take it, at first glance it seems like a tough swap for her.
Candice is still my #1 despite the fact that I voted for her. Oops. Steph should take some lessons from me. I can try vote you out and you're still my number one ally? Sweet.
The main focus now is getting 1 person to join us (probs CiCi) and also making allies so that once we hit the merge, I'm in a good spot. Original tribes are basically meaningless at this point as far as alliances go. I'm also really worried I'm going to be a target when we get to the merge; the name Penner and word "Leader" have been plastered all over the challenge threads for the last while. I think Jessica will have a similar problem; she's going to be the one I'm deflecting attention to if/when we get to the merge.
There are a couple of people going to their first ever tribal council tonight on new Svinoy. They are going to have the weakest alliances ever; today is going to be insane for them.
